Ashland Works, located along the Ohio River in northeast Kentucky, covers almost 700 acres with dock and rail facilities. Ashland provides semi-finished slabs to Middletown Works. The Ashland Works caster has set numerous world records, including 1,851 consecutive heats.
Major production facilities include the following:

Ashland Works produces carbon and ultra-low carbon steel slabs, along with hot dip galvanized and galvannealed coated steels.
Carbon and ultra-low carbon steels produced at Ashland meet the strictest chemistry and dimensional requirements in the market today.
Hot dip galvanized ZINCGRIPR® products provide a tight metallurgical bond between the coating and the substrate, offering the strength and formability of steel plus the corrosion protection of zinc.
Hot dip galvannealed ZINCGRIP GAR® is continuously coated on both sides with zinc, then heated by induction to alloy the zinc with the substrate to create a zinc-iron coating.
The hot dip line employs a continuous annealing furnace, nitrogen finishing, X-ray coating weight control and in-line stretch leveling. The line also incorporates in-line temper rolling to provide an excellent surface for painting.
Ashland Works has earned ISO/TS-16949 and ISO-9001 certification. The plant is also a recipient of several customer quality awards, including Toyota's Superior Quality and Delivery Award.
