Hot Rolled Black Carbon Steel Tubing

Hot rolled black steel is a cost-saving solution for applications that do not require a critically exposed surface condition. The tube is manufactured in accordance with ASTM A513 Type 1 or ASTM A500 grades A, B or C. Sizes include 0.750 - 6.000 in. outside diameter (OD) in wall thicknesses from 0.054 - 0.219 in., produced in rounds and various shapes.

Hot Rolled Brushed Carbon Steel Tubing

This product is hot rolled carbon steel but with some scale. The brushing process removes most of the scale from the steel surface, leaving behind a "tight" scale. An oil film is not required to prevent rust from forming. Hot rolled brushed carbon steel is recommended for unexposed applications that require a clean-uniform surface and flatness. The tube is manufactured in accordance with ASTM A513 Type 1 or ASTM A500 Grades A, B or C. Sizes include 0.750 - 6.000 in. outside diameters in wall thicknesses from 0.054 - 0.219 in. produced in rounds and various shapes.

Hot Rolled Pickled and Oiled Carbon Steel Tubing

Hot rolled pickled and oiled (HRPO) steel is hot rolled steel but without any scale. The pickling process removes the scale from the hot rolled sheet surface with water solutions and inorganic acids. An oil film is typically applied after pickling to guard against rust and coil handling. HRPO steel is recommended for applications that require an even finish and level exterior. The tube is manufactured in accordance with ASTM A513 Type 1 or ASTM A500 Grades A, B or C. Sizes include 0.750 - 6.000 in. outside diameters in wall thicknesses from 0.054 - 0.219 in. produced in rounds and various shapes.

Cold Rolled Carbon Steel Tubing

Cold rolled steel provides excellent thickness and flatness tolerances, surface finish and press formability, deep drawability, high strength, high dent resistance, good magnetic properties, enamelability and paintability. It is available in low and ultra-low carbon grades and is manufactured in accordance with ASTM A513 Type 2. Cold rolled steel is available in 0.750 - 6.625 in. outside diameters and wall thicknesses from 0.028 - 0.147 in., produced in rounds and various shapes.

Aluminized Carbon Steel Tubing

Aluminized steel is continuously hot dipped coated on both sides with an aluminum coating. Galvanneal Carbon Steel Tubing

Galvanneal steel is continously hot dipped on both sides with a zinc-iron alloy. A specialized variation of galvanized steels where induction heating is used to alloy the zinc coating with the steel to create a zinc-iron coating. The process provides a tight metallurgical bond between the steel and coating resulting in material with the strength and formability of steel plus corrosion protection of the zinc-iron coating. Commonly used in automotive, heating, ventialiation, air conditioning, and general manufacturing.

High Strength Low Alloy

High strength low alloy (HSLA) steels are used in cars, trucks, cranes, bridges, roller coasters and other structures that are designed to handle large amounts of stress and need a good strength-to-weight ratio. They have a carbon content between 0.05 – 0.25% to retain formability and weldability. Due to their high strength and toughness, HSLA steel tube usually require 25 - 30% more power to form.

ALUMI-THERM®

ALUMI-THERM® steel is a flat rolled low-alloyed steel developed to provide excellent mechanical properties. It is coated with 8% silicon/aluminum alloy identical to that applied to AK Steel's Aluminized Steel Type 1.
